Carrier Vetting Process

We do not treat every carrier like the same carrier.

GMF Auto Transport is a licensed broker, which means our job is not only finding a truck. It is finding the right carrier for the route, vehicle, timeline, and budget.

Internal carrier records

Built to improve every shipment

  • Certificate of insurance tracking
  • Preferred lanes and route coverage
  • Equipment and trailer type notes
  • Compliance status and expiration dates
  • Performance and confidence scoring

GMF currently maintains a 4.9 rating on Central Dispatch. As our public review profiles grow, we will add those review links here too.

How We Choose Carriers

The goal is simple: fewer surprises, better communication, and stronger carrier relationships.

Authority and identity review

We confirm the carrier's operating details and keep core identifiers such as MC and USDOT numbers organized for future shipments.

COI and insurance tracking

We store certificate of insurance details, expiration dates, providers, and coverage notes so expired or missing paperwork gets flagged before dispatch.

Route and equipment fit

We track which lanes a carrier actually covers, what equipment they run, and whether they are a good match for open, enclosed, inoperable, dealer, or specialty moves.

Confidence scoring over time

Each carrier relationship gets better as we learn. Communication, pickup reliability, delivery handling, and issue resolution all influence our internal confidence score.

Broker Transparency

What being a broker means for you

GMF Auto Transport does not claim that one truck can cover every customer, vehicle, and route. Instead, we work as your shipping coordinator and match your shipment with a carrier that fits the job.

For customers looking for a lower price, flexibility matters. Open transport, flexible pickup windows, popular routes, and standard running vehicles usually give us more carrier options. Enclosed transport, inoperable vehicles, rural locations, and tight deadlines can increase the price.

Our carrier list helps us remember what matters: who communicates well, who covers which lanes, who keeps documents current, and who earns confidence over repeated shipments.
